The real story that Donald Trump is trying to distract you from right now

Donald Trump spent yesterday trying to incite violence in Los Angeles, as part of his decade long strategy to use violence to make himself strong. Yesterday I wrote about the matter, along with the peaceful pro-immigrant protests in Los Angeles. But today I’m going to write about the thing that Trump is trying to distract us from with all these antics.
There were quiet media reports yesterday that Trump is overwhelmingly broken up about his falling out with Elon Musk. Trump has never been known to be sentimental or empathetic about anything, so it’s not as if he misses his pal. But here’s the thing. While Trump is a broke “billionaire” who shuffles money around to try to hide what a terrible businessman he is, Musk is an actual billionaire. Musk had enough money to buy Twitter for Trump’s benefit, and to ultimately buy the presidency for Trump as well. Musk may be in the process of ruining himself financially with all his self defeating antics, but he still has real money – which Trump considers the most important quality in a “friend.”
At this point Trump is suffering a double blow. Musk’s departure has made Trump look weak. It’s also made Trump look weak. Politics is often about perception, but this is ugly for Trump in terms of perception and reality all at once. It makes him look like an inept idiot who’s weak enough to need someone like Musk but not sensible enough to be able to keep Musk around.
So of course Trump is out there trying to incite violence in a liberal big city. The protesters he’s trying to incite violence against are, after all, protesting against him. But while Trump must surely be fantasizing about whipping up enough of a violent frenzy to use it as an excuse to crack down on the nation and increase his power, the reality is that he’s still the same inept idiot who couldn’t even keep his personal cash cow in the fold.
To increase his power base, Trump would need to thread the needle with expert level savvy. That’s not something Trump has ever been able to do in his entire decade in politics. The media keeps unwittingly handing Trump power while dishonestly chasing ratings, but Trump keeps fumbling that power away. This is a very dangerous time in our nation. But Trump is still an inept idiot who struggles to accomplish his political goals no matter how much evil he’s willing to invoke.
