The elephant in the room

Never let it be said that ALL of the extreme court Justices are annoying, biased, idiotic, dishonest cretins! No, we have some good ones, a few GREAT ones that differ significantly from Justices, like Witch Obsessed Alito and beer boy Kavanaugh. One of them is Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Jackson is making news because she is speaking out! In Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, she spoke out at a Judge conference and, without mentioning the convicted felon’s name once, let her feelings on the intimidation of Judges be VERY known.

“The attacks are not random,” She said. “They seem designed to intimidate those of us who serve in this critical capacity.” “They ultimately,” she went on, “risk undermining our Constitution and the rule of law.”

Bravo! The judges at this conference must have thought “bravo” as well, because Jackson received a raucous, appreciative standing ovation. Jackson never specifically mentioned Trump’s name, but did say she was addressing the “elephant in the room.” Jackson also told her colleagues to practice “raw courage”, to “not let themselves be intimated.”

“I urge you to keep going, keep doing what is right for our country, and I believe that history will vindicate your service.” This speech, which lasted nearly 20 minutes, shows the power of picking the right person for the job. Jackson stood proud. No intimidation was going to ruffle HER feathers.

She spoke with the grace of a swan, and the fire of a lioness. No fear in her voice, no bending the knee for her except of course to the rule of law. Her love of her country and of her profession was never more evident, as the tremendous standing ovation she received showed. Perhaps more justices should take cues from this remarkable — utterly remarkable Justice.
