This article is about three different subjects, two of which I despise, and one of which I love with a reference, bordering on utter bliss. The three subjects at hand: Donald Trump, Susan Collins, and the Sea. If you follow my work, you know of my unending and limitless fascination with the Sea.

The oceanographers who study the Sea, study everything from the life of the Coral Reef, to disasters that happen at Sea, like red tide, are the birds that fly high above the water, while keeping them keeping those blue waters flowing because these people made decisions to invest in studying the Sea; it is their lifeโ€˜s work.

And now, Donald John Trump, and Elon Musk are trying to destroy it. Yes, it stands to reason that oceanic research is suffering greatly with all the jobs being cut. Nowhere is it suffering more than in the state of Maine. Are you listening, Susan Collins?

Readers, do you think sheโ€™s concerned? This is about the Maine sea grant program. President Musk and his sidekick Donald Trump have decided to cut this program by almost $5 million. Millions in federal funding to study the Ocean have vanished with a snap of Muskโ€™s Twitter-addicted fingers.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced the cuts on Friday. Maine is deeply concerned about these cuts. Are you listening, Susan Collins? The Maine sea grant has been in existence since 1971. It has created many new jobs and kept Maine’s coastal tourism industry flourishing.

As you know, many activities in Maine are framed around the Ocean. More research means more jobs, which leads to a better understanding of this great Ocean. Are you listening, Susan Collins? Yes, the letter sent to these people announcing the cut says they are no longer relevant to this Administrationโ€™s priorities.

Can you imagine the beautiful sapphire blue Sea not being relevant? It turns my stomach. Susan Collins keeps saying she’s concerned about things. What about THIS, Senator? Are you listening, Susan Collins? Can you hear the whispers, the crashing of sea waves telling you they need help? Or do you once again have your hands over your ears, head bowed in FAUX concern? We must – we MUST — tell Senator Collins: Sea you later. And vote her the heck OUT.
