Do you like to solve riddles? I do. Riddles can indeed be fascinating, yes? The great Egyptian Sphinx would demand answers to complicated riddles. Many could not find the answers. I would like to solve a riddle. It is the riddle of Herschel Walker.

Mr. Walker has won his primary and will face off against Senator Raphael Warnock. But how will he do it? How CAN he do it? How can Mr. Walker do this — get elected — when he cannot string together two sentences? I do not ask this snarkily. I say it will all be solemnity. I say this because of the following.

At an event in Atlanta, Mr. Walker was asked a question. A riddle? Hardly. Just a basic question. Should there be new gun laws? Not a hard question for most people — for people with any common sense whatsoever. Here is the response from Walker: “What I like to do is see it and everything and stuff.” That’s it.

Does anybody know what the man is talking about? If so, you’re one step ahead of this writer. We have a situation here, people. We have a candidate who can’t communicate. What is he going to do? HOW on earth can the GOP look at the American people with a straight face? This is the best they got?

Mr. Walker’s candidacy is going to be a real test of the voting public. On paper, it shouldn’t be a contest. But you can bet that the GOP will throw time, money, and the GOP machine behind Walker. And some voters — some voters will check his name simply because there is an R next to it.

Can you even imagine? Can you imagine this person in the SENATE? I can’t. But sadly, there is that possibility. That’s why we must work very hard to make sure the head-scratcher of a “candidate” never sets foot on the Senate floor.
