So this backfired…
One of the issues that’s very much front and center (though the media acts as if it’s not) is Medicaid, which Republicans are determined to destroy one way or the other, even if they won’t use the words: “Repeal Obamacare” or “Repeal the ACA.”
This is pretty much the only issue right now – and everything else is noise, since Democrats have never been the party of taking away people’s healthcare. That leaves it up to us to drum the issue over and over, regardless of what other insane things Donald Trump is doing or what Democrats the media happens to be bashing on any particular day.
While the Trump 2024 campaign pushed a promise of “No Taxes on Tips” to win over a lot of folks in the service industry, one that was already proposed by Democratic lawmakers. Now, those same people that supported “No Taxes on Tips” are about to lose their healthcare, should the GOP’s latest budget pass- the bill that Trump calls his big beautiful one – taking away potentially the health insurance from over one third of wait staff across the country.
The media is currently embroiled in a lot of both-sides nonsense, while the GOP stokes its culture wars. All while this is happening, real people are going to suffer the effects of a GOP-run government, with things only likely to get worse.
