So much for that

Donald Trump’s approval ratings are beginning to sag, though he still gets fairly high marks for his position on immigration – as brutal and reckless as it actually is. The last part is what we need to pay attention to, as it’s the quickest way we could turn Donald Trump’s biggest strength into a weakness, and turn around the way people see Democrats on this particular issue.
Despite his promises to do mass deportations that haven’t come to fruition, Trump has rounded up a lot of random people, many of whom didn’t actually break the law and were denied due process. It’s fair to say much of it has been a pretense to attack American universities – as he’s currently in a battle of wills with Harvard.
The real question is: Have Donald Trump’s policies helped make America safe? As the recent attacks in Boulder, Colorado have shown, the answer to that is clearly no. It’s hardly a wonder that Donald Trump is going on social media to attack Joe Biden over what happened, as he’s clearly trying to bring the heat off his own administration’s incompetence.
Donald Trump said he’s deporting criminals – but he’s clearly not. His administration doesn’t care about who comes into the US, and there’s a whole lot of examples of him actually bringing criminals into the US. It’s time to call this out: Donald Trump’s immigration policy is reckless – full stop – and repeat it from now and right on into the midterms.
