The bad thing about secrets is — they’re often difficult to keep contained. Secrets do not like being caged. They often try to break free of restraints. And many times — they are successful. A nasty little GOP secret has just broken free.

The Republican Party is about to make a really bad decision. Can we stop them? Do we really WANT to stop them? Reportedly, the GOP is terrified of the January 6 public hearings arriving on a television screen near you next week. Only the GOP does not LIKE this. That is understandable as who would like to see their own non-party labelled as traitors before the whole of the country, even if it’s true?

No, the GOP are not happy at all. So, in the spirit of bad decisions, they are reportedly plotting and scheming as non-parties are known to do. And what they are planning is a counter-narrative. A secret talking points memo has even been circulated. Only it has broken free. This memo, “how to undermine the committee” is a nasty business.

Reportedly the memo encourages Republicans to paint Democrats as “the real election deniers.” And that is not all. Reportedly the insurrection party plans to blitz cable news with appearances. Now, what could that mean?

Fox non-news, to the rescue, most likely. I am sure the Fox pundits are salivating right now over the thought. But it gets even better. Trump himself might even make an appearance. And that would be delicious. Because one knows Trump would have a melt-down of epic proportions. If the GOP really intends to do all this, they’re even stupider than I thought.

See, the GOP are prisoners. They’re prisoners, and their dungeon is the big lie. HOW on earth can they frame Democrats as election deniers? Also, it’s unlikely some Republicans would ever go along with this narrative, so basically, the non-party would not even be in lockstep. This is a terrible strategy. It is pitiful. Well, it would be if the GOP were capable of inspiring pity, which they’re not.
