Arguments can occur at any time in any place and many times without warning. And sometimes, when two people argue, one of those individuals finds themselves without a defense. Such an event happened on Tuesday. And the arguers were on Fox-non-news.

It started with Geraldo Rivera and Sean Hannity. And the argument was, of course, over the orange buffoon. Rivera is one of those guys who very occasionally surprises you by saying something that makes sense. And he did it on Fox by blaming Trump accurately for the insurrection.

As one might imagine, the recipient of his argument, Mr. Hannity, was not happy to see this happen. So he hit back in the only way someone like Hannity knows how — he lied.

Hannity insisted that Trump intended only peace that day. (Right.) Rivera then did something surprising (as well as highly entertaining.) He confronted Hannity about his texts to Meadows.

“I beg of you, Sean, to remember the frame of mind you were in when you wrote that text on January 6 and when Laura Ingraham did and when Donald Trump Jr. did. Remember the concern you had. Remember the frustration you had at our beloved 45th President.”

Beloved? Faster than one could say, “triggered,” Rivera’s nemesis was on it. Only it wasn’t Hannity. Dan Bongino was sitting in on the argument. (This is a frequent thing.) And he seemingly could not handle his beloved grifter, Trump, being attacked with such honesty.

“The backstabbing of the President you are engaging in is really disgusting, and it’s really vile,” the unhinged Bongino yelled.

I’d say Rivera won this one. But what is fascinating as well is that Fox appears to be losing it. Since the texts of some of its hosts were revealed, said hosts have assumed a cloak of defensiveness that is both hilarious and pathetic. I doubt that will end anytime soon.
