SAY A PRAYER

The day has finally arrived: Donald Trump will be impeached today. Well, there’s a small chance that this evening’s final House impeachment vote could get pushed to tomorrow morning, if today’s impeachment procedures drag on too long. But the bottom line is that Trump is now going down in history as an impeached president. As he has no positive record of accomplishments or leadership to balance that out, impeachment is the only thing he’ll be remembered for – other than being the only U.S. President to end up in prison.

Donald Trump knows he’s in trouble too. His six page letter to Nancy Pelosi yesterday was Unabomber level crazy. And in case there’s anyone out there he didn’t manage to convince yesterday that he’s disturbingly mentally unstable, today he posted a tweet that’s so deranged, it’s difficult to even parse.

Here’s what Trump tweeted about impeachment this morning: “Can you believe that I will be impeached today by the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats, AND I DID NOTHING WRONG! A terrible Thing. Read the Transcripts. This should never happen to another President again. Say a PRAYER!”

Wait, are we supposed to say a prayer for him because he’s being impeached? Or are we supposed to say a prayer that future presidents don’t get impeached? Or are we supposed to say a prayer for Trump’s political adversaries because he’s threatening their well-being? The trouble with someone like Donald Trump or the Unabomber is that they’re so far gone, it can be difficult to parse what they’re even saying. The bottom line is that Trump is cracking in real time – and the final impeachment vote hasn’t even quite happened yet.
