Saturday Night Massacre

I watch them as I walk the city streets, streets whose asphalt steams with uncertainty. I peer at them suspiciously, wearing a thick coat of cynicism around my torso, keeping them at bay. walking and wandering with the question blazing in my mind, unable to leave.

I watch them as they ring up my groceries at the cash register. I watch them as I indulge in friendly small talk. Still the question hovers. Which one of them, how many of them voted for Donald John Trump?

Beneath blue and the cheerful smile of that seemingly lovely stranger, is she a secret member of QAnon? That jolly older man making jokes at the local bar, does he secretly hate immigrants?

I have the feeling I am not alone in this. Having Donald Trump in office has given us a lot to think about, and it has weakened the ties that bind us in unity and in trust .

Donald Trump is also watching people but his goals are different, far different than ours. When we ponder who to trust, he’s seeking those who betrayed him.

The answer is that nobody betrayed Donald Trump, but that isn’t stopping him from purging the DOJ and getting rid of virtually anyone who had any contact with Jack Smith.

These are not Jack Smith prosecutors, mind you. These are career members of the justice department, our best, and our brightest. Donald Trump is busy purging them from the justice department, which he did in the late-night dump, a Friday night massacre of the most vicious kind.

What Donald Trump has done is illegal, and at the very least, he’s looking at long-term litigation, by some of the people he illegally fired. These people will not take kindly to Donald Trump’s treatment of them, but because Donald Trump is senile and never thinks about the future, these little points are probably not entered his “brain.”

This is the fight of our lives. Donald Trump and his unelected henchmen are actively trying to destroy our government, our democracy, and our way of life. We only have one choice, and that's to fight back as loudly and aggressively as possible.
To that end, Palmer Report is expanding. We're bulking up our editorial and research staff and leaving no stone unturned on the editorial front and activism front.
