Samuel Alito throws a fit
Samuel Alito is one of the angriest human beings I’ve ever seen. Never before in the history of the Supreme Court has one Justice whined and moaned about the unfairness of it all like Alito does. Alito appears unwilling to accept the slightest criticism. That says so much about the ego of this man, which seems to be as huge as a tidal wave.
His history of snark is legendary. But now he’s come out and attacked — anyone who questions the court’s legitimacy Leave it to Alito to mess up the court even more than he already has.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday, Alito complained bitterly about the nerve of anyone who dares to question his decisions.
“It goes without saying that everyone is free to express disagreement with our decisions,” the embittered Justice said wryly before adding this: “But saying or implying that the court is becoming an illegitimate institution or questioning our integrity crosses an important line.”
REALLY, Alito? Do you want to go this route? Playing the martyr doesn’t become you. I want to answer the man who quotes ancient witch trial judges. To be sure, Mr. Alito, some people in Salem would have welcomed you during the hysteria of the Salem Witch trials. It seems your talents would have proved helpful in THAT environment.
But much as it ails you, we’re not there now. This is 2022. Women have rights. I understand this offends you.
But the bottom line is the Supreme Court is NOT a legitimate institution anymore. And far more people agree with this than agree with you. And it is you and your cronies that helped make that so.
You seek to spread your archaic and twisted beliefs to the American people. Because of your twisted decision on Roe, women are in peril. Some have died. More will continue to — because of you.
You have shown yourself to be a vile and petty man who is unworthy of the title of “Supreme.” What you are is angry. You can dish out criticism — you often do — but you sure can’t take it. But don’t worry. We are planning to Roe the vote in November.
And when we do, we will codify Roe and expand the Supreme Court, putting forth Justices who are kind and intelligent people with moral fortitude — you can scream about it till the cows come home, but your legacy will be one of Supreme destruction.
