Rudy Giuliani has been struggling particularly badly lately of late, and when you consider that he’s always struggling on some level these days, that’s saying something. For instance, in the middle of an incoherent meltdown about Robert Mueller, this weekend, Rudy tweeted “Kimim ° has f” and has yet to delete it. Now it turns out another of Rudy’s incompetent tweets has backfired on him in spectacular fashion.

On November 30th, Rudy Giuliani posted this tweet, and make a note of the spacing typo between sentences: “Mueller filed an indictment just as the President left for G-20.In July he indicted the Russians who will never come here just before he left for Helsinki.Either could have been done earlier or later. Out of control!Supervision please?” Twitter automatically turns websites into clickable links, and it thought that “G-20.In” was a website. It wasn’t, but now it is.

Some unknown person quickly went out and registered the “G-20.In” website name, and simply put up the words “Donald J. Trump is a traitor to our country” front and center on that website. So now, when you click on the accidental link in Rudy’s tweet, you get the message about his client Donald Trump being a traitor.

To be clear, this wasn’t initially Rudy Giuliani’s fault. All he did was leave out a space between sentences. But it’s been three days since someone launched the G-20.In website, and Rudy still hasn’t gone back and deleted this tweet. That means he’s spent the past three days unwittingly announcing, to all 200,000 of his followers, as well as the 28,000 people who liked his tweet, that Donald Trump is a traitor.
