RFK Jr just caved
It appears the pushback on RFK Junior was simply too much causing him to reverse track on his attitude toward measles, vowing to make it a priority. Yeah, right. This writer will believe it when she sees it. But people are talking about something else related to measles, and this is most definitely news in Texas, where the measles outbreak originated. There has been a profound, dark, primitive silence from Republicans.
Not a squeak can be heard by the little Texas republicans. Take Governor Greg Abbott, fool that he is, for instance. He has not held a press conference or said one word about the outbreak and people are starting to talk because it’s looking really really strange that the governor will not address an outbreak in his own damn state.
No words of comfort or of reassurance. Nothing to sooth the fears of Texans. WHY NOT? This follows much Republican silence on the mayhem that Elon Musk is creating. It seems for the GOP silence is golden. It is also an excellent way of alienating your own voters. Republicans have decided denial is the name of the day and they’re putting their hands over their ears so it seems, including in regards to the measles outbreak.
