If one is on a collision course and crashes, it is important to take a look back at the rear window — to see what caused the collision and the crash and to see how one might do things differently. And there are a few republicans who seem to be doing that. There are not many yet, but there are a few.

For instance, Marc Thiessen on Fox did become a bit reflective and said this: “That is a searing indictment on the Republican Party. The Republican Party needs to do a really deep introspection look in the mirror right now because this is an absolute disaster.”

Good advice. But will the GOP take it? Will they look out the rear window and take ownership of all the damage they’ve created? I say no. How can they possibly do that? The mess the GOP made has not gone away. They are saddled with the same issues they had just a week or two ago.

The GOP is cursed with a walking nightmare –a candidate they created — Donald Trump. He will NEVER let them look in the rear window. If he goes down, he wants to take them with him. And he will fight them to the bitter end. It is Frankenstein’s monster in real-time.

There can be no looking back for Republicans — no looking in the rear window until they get rid of Trump. Only they can’t get rid of him. Like a nasty and recurring pimple that keeps coming back, Trump FEEDS off their desperation. He’ll never let them go — without taking them all down with him.

The rear window has been fogged over with the ice-cold frost of a republican monster who doesn’t give two shits about any of them. And the GOP, who for years have been Trump’s happy little zombies, are about to experience his wrath for themselves.
