As things keep getting worse for him, Donald Trump’s new strategy consists of losing a battle, then merely telling himself that he won. His sycophants then chime in to reassure him that, yes, his latest humiliating loss is indeed somehow a win. For instance, Trump is now bragging that a columnist has opined that “Trump Wins in Portland.”

That’s cute, but no. The violence subsided dramatically after Trump’s thugs were chased out of town by moms and veterans. Trump got his butt kicked in Portland. Suburban voters hate him more than ever. So much for “winning.”
