Panama just made a total fool out of Donald Trump
Donald Trump, like a scum-sucking ghoul, has been caught in yet another lie. It all started with — what else — the Panama Canal. The White House had announced that U.S. vessels could now transit the Panama Canal for free! That’s right. No, no tolls or anything!
They said Panama had agreed to this. What a country! Now, here’s the issue with that statement. Someone forgot to tell Panama. That’s right. Panama is denying they ever agreed to that.
Panama announced that the statement was untrue and that it wasn’t happening. We are NOT making any changes to our way of doing things, they said in a sharp rebuke to the Trump administration.
Perhaps Trump and his klan thought they could embarrass Panama and catch them flat-footed. Maybe, they may have mused; we’ll attribute certain statements and remarks to them. This way of thinking would be in keeping with the lawlessness of the trump regime.
Only Panama made it abundantly clear that NOBODY pushes THEM around. The trump team has tried lousy idea after bad idea, from lying about what Panama said to sending a perpetually robotic Rubio to Panama to beg — and nothing has worked.
As a side note — can you imagine the hilarity of RUBIO there in Panama, BEGGING?? I’d have liked to be Mike Pence’s fly on the wall for that one!
Oh please, Rubio might have groveled, frantically gulping down as many cups of cool water as he had access to. PLEASE give us Panama. If you don’t, Donnie will be mad at me!
I find this situation hilarious in a dark humor sort of way. I really do. We have up to 14,000 ships traveling the canal yearly.
They will continue to travel it. The Panama Canal will continue to be in the hands of PANAMA as our loony, senile grifter of a president will likely continue to lie.
