Donald Trump, historically unpopular and eventually on his way to prison, seems more interested in convincing himself that he’s beloved than he is in turning things around. He holds rallies for his own party’s congressional candidates, but uses his speeches to say the kinds of deranged things that merely please his dumpster fire of a base, instead of doing anything for the candidate. Now Trump has unveiled a new painting of himself that is nothing short of unintentionally hilarious.

During his 60 Minutes interview last night, we learned that Donald Trump has a new painting of himself sharing a drink with past Republican presidents. These are, for the most part, people who would hate him. Trump is sitting across from Abraham Lincoln, who was a liberal, back at the time when the GOP was the liberal party. The same goes for Teddy Roosevelt, who is off to Trump’s side.

Donald Trump is next to Dwight Eisenhower and Gerald Ford, two fundamentally decent men who would have rejected a corrupt hate monger like Trump on spec. Also in the painting are George W. Bush, who refused to vote for Trump, and George H.W. Bush, who reportedly voted for Hillary Clinton just to try to stop Trump. Then there’s Ronald Reagan, who couldn’t stand Trump. In fact, when Trump once asked Reagan for an autograph, he signed it “Reagan Reagan” just to screw with him.

Of all the Republican presidents in Donald Trump’s painting, the only one he could possibly have won over is Richard Nixon, who shared his “cheat at any cost” and “find a way to win the racist vote” mantras. But even Nixon, for all his corruption, tried to do some genuinely good things for the country. Trump is actively trying to destroy America for his own political and financial benefit. So yeah, even Nixon might have rejected Trump. This painting, and Trump’s apparent belief that these people would have approved of him, merely reveals how delusional he’s become as he circles the drain.
