Oh shut up, JD Vance

PLEASE, please, JD Vance, won’t you please shut up? It is not uncommon for Vice Presidents to single out a few issues of importance to them when they come into office. In Vance’s case, the issue that he refuses to let go of is women.

Women and their love lives. So, let’s start at the beginning. You KNOW that Vance has made ugly comments about single women being miserable cat ladies. You KNOW Vance has in the past talked about how people without children should have fewer rights than people WITH children.

You know, Vance has, in the past, picked at women like a termite picking through wood. He’s been utterly relentless, unable to help himself or stop himself. Now he’s doing it again, and Vance’s latest thing is — women who date. Oh no.

Vance has declared that American singles should not use dating sites. Vance claims that these sites are harmful to women getting married and procreating. Yep, yep, I know what you’re thinking. What a fool. Our keeper of babies spoke with The New York Times and honed in on the big issue—young people’s inability to start families.

“Our young men and women just aren’t dating,” he explained philosophically. “They’re not getting married,” he said woefully. “They’re not starting families.”

Look, I have my own feelings about online dating. In some cases, it IS isolating. But that’s not the point. From what I see here, Vance is most concerned about procreation. He went so far as to say he’d met with Pope Leo XIV and brought up the issue of online dating to the Pope!

My honest opinion? I think if women are not having enough babies, it has nothing whatsoever to do with online dating. It has to do with Vance himself and people like him. What Vance fails to understand because he’s not an intellectual is that many women do not WANT to bring their babies up in the times we are living in.

I mean — think about it. Republicans, who often resemble screaming baby machines, lose total interest in these beautiful children AFTER they’re born. Why should women NOT be cautious about bringing children into the world now? Our economy sucks, thanks to Donald Trump.

Our unemployment rate is climbing higher. Vance and his team seem intent on snatching away every good agency and service that exists to help people. I mean, I understand any woman or man who may say to themselves, “Not now.”

Vance, of course, is like so many other molly-coddled Republicans. AND making matters worse, he (Vance) is a nosy parker peeking through the curtains regularly at his fellow Americans’ dating lives, dating habits, and dating choices. Frankly, my dears, it is none of his frigging business.

Why not concentrate on saving the planet which is burning up right now due to climate change? Why not SAVE our oceans and national parks, preserving our beautiful lands for babies to see when they grow older? Our VP hasn’t thought of that, it would seem.
