The Jury is back. They really didn’t stay out too long. And the Jury has rendered a decision on the overturning of Roe. The verdict? Fury. “A step backward.” That is what most of the American people are saying in a new Poll from CBS/YouGov that was taken AFTER the overturning of Roe.

The margin leaves no room for doubt. It is more than a 20-point spread — against the overturning of Roe. Women especially disapprove by more than three to one. AND many of those who disprove also think the extreme court will come after birth control and same-sex marriage.

Here are some of the groups that disprove: Young people. Moderates. Liberals. Hispanic Americans ( two-thirds). Black Americans (three-fourths). White Americans, with over 50 percent disproving. Evangelic Christians are, of course, joyous over the ruling.

Some of the feelings the people who disapprove are feeling include: feeling angry. Feeling scared. Feeling deeply upset. Women are the group experiencing these feelings the most. And most people — INCLUDING Republicans think Roe should be legal in at least some cases.

The majority of people support making Roe legal federally. This while Republicans want to make it ILLEGAL federally. See how out-of-step Republicans are? People — we can win. Just look at these numbers. We have to destroy the myth that ANY republicans are for the people. Because the ones that ARE, are few and far between. This will need to be front and center, every day, every week, every hour until the midterms. FRONT AND CENTER.

This does NOT mean it’s in the bag. Republicans will try to destroy us. They will try to push this from the news. They will play on peoples’ fear. They will attempt to get in people’s heads. And with some people — it might work. So we have to be louder.

Our voices must be as vivid and expressive as flowers dancing in the wind. We cannot afford to be silent or low-key on this. This poll tells a story, and that story is that WE — the Democratic party — have the momentum.
