Kevin McCarthy has always come off as desperate. No matter what he says or does, the message coming from him seems to be, “I want that speaker’s position. Please give me that speaker’s position.”

But Kevin reached new heights of desperation on Sunday. Appearing on Fox non-news, Kevin sat down for a chat with Fox and Friends. The topic at hand was the GOP’s non-platform, “commitment to America.”

Just the name itself is pathetic. Now it makes sense Kev would want publicity for this unhinged platform. But as with everything he does, Kevin took things a wee bit too far. Kevin came bearing gifts.

Inside Kevin’s pockets were — pamphlets. “I have a present for all of you,” Kevin beamed. Then he removed these pamphlets and began handing them out to the Fox and Friends hosts.

Watching g this, I was reminded of Timeshare salespeople who hand out travel brochures to a bored and disinterested audience—hoping fervently to make just one sale. But ole Kev wasn’t done. He chattered on about “Government accountability.”

And then — and this part is particularly painful – he began openly hawking the pamphlets. “Change this country,” Kevin called out. “Put us on a new path,” the non-salesman exclaimed. “That’s what a Commitment to America does.”

Oh, Kevin, Kevin, have you really fallen this far? Of course, Kevin never spoke about what was actually IN the plan. Because why on earth would a little thing like that matter? It was embarrassing. I imagine I was not the only one who turned their face away, unable to bear the pushy and fake sales approach of Kevin McCarthy.

He’d make a lousy salesman. He IS a lousy salesman. Would YOU buy a used car from Kevin McCarthy? That question is rhetorical. I imagine when one is that desperate, they feel they have to do this. McCarthy should really quit while he’s not ahead.
