Joe Biden just confirmed he’s invoking the Defense Production Act for the COVID vaccine
President-elect Joe Biden is still five days away from taking office, but he’s already laying out how he plans to hit the ground running and pull America out of the abyss. During a press conference this afternoon, Biden confirmed that on day one he’ll invoke the Defense Production Act in order to accelerate the manufacture of the materials required for the COVID vaccine.
This is precisely what we were hoping and expecting that Biden would do. It’s something that Donald Trump should have done a long time ago. We still wish Trump would do it on his way out the door. But now at least we know we’re just five days away from putting the vaccine rollout on the right track.
