Jim Jordan just got nailed
House Republican Jim Jordan doesn’t seem to know what to do with himself these days. He went from being rejected from membership in the January 6th Committee, to now being subpoenaed by the January 6th Committee – and he has to worry about potentially facing criminal charges for contempt of Congress. In addition, whatever the committee has dug up about him, it’s about to go public during next week’s public hearings.
In the meantime, Jordan is doing what he does best, or perhaps what he does worst: playing the villain. Even as the House considered gun reform legislation, Jordan claimed that House Democrats never did reach out to him about the markups that are now being considered.
But gun reform activist and Parkland father Fred Guttenberg was able to nail Jim Jordan on his lie:

That’s right, Guttenberg brought the receipts. Jordan was completely disrespectful when he left the room while Guttenberg was testifying about his daughter’s death in the Parkland shooting. Now Jordan is flat out lying about pretty much everything, from gun reform legislation to his communications with Donald Trump on January 6th. And he wonders why he wasn’t allowed to sit on the January 6th Committee to begin with.
