JD Vance just took it on the chin
If there’s one good thing to come out of this whole thing on Friday, it’s that JD Vance is getting pummeled in the press, including from Republican outlets. The Wall Street Journal, typically, a Republican-friendly outlet excoriated Vance, saying he purposely tried to provoke a fight and that his actions were not that of a “want to be Statesman.”
I concur entirely with the Journal. Vance is not a want to be Statesman. He’s just a wannabe. Vance has also, in the press, been called “The chief saboteur” of what went down on Friday. Vance is trying, it would seem, to get back into the limelight. There were also several articles about that. He’s been missing in action, taking a back seat to Elon Musk. But JD’s Trump-like tones and tenor will not help him now. I will tell you why.
Think about it the first time Trump announced. Every racist, sexist, thug, punk, criminal human monster, idiot garbage person, stirred, coming back to life from underneath their logs as they lazily meandered out from underneath them to go to the polls to vote for this fellow racist and sexist.
But as you’ve seen my friends through the years, whenever OTHER Republicans try to replicate that formula, it does not work. Vance does not have the dark charisma. He has darkness. But seriously — Can you imagine Vance filling up stadiums? Can you imagine Vance getting away with what Trump has gotten away with? Even the media despises Vance! Even the Wall Street Journal put Vance out to pasture.
Vance is making the POLITICAL mistake of his career . I don’t believe for a minute he gives a damn about Putin or, for that matter, anyone. Vance simply wants to kiss the ass of whoever the heck is in power.
Believe me, if Zelenskyy was OUR president and not Trump, one would turn on the TV to see a glowingly effusive Mr. Vance trying to get into the White House with freshly baked cookies and bread, bubbling over with joy about what a great gent President Zelenskyy is.
So yes, Vance is a wannabe, and the media knows it. At least we do get to see Vance castigated in real time by every decent political organization in the world.
