JD Vance is at it again

Back in the day, many moons ago, in the mystic jewel that was ancient Egypt, the Ptolemies ruled savagely. The Ptolemaic dynasty was a bloody one to be sure. Family members often met unfortunate “accidents,” and it was believed that many of these were engineered by members of their families. They were a Macedonian Greek family of arrogant royals whose rule over those ancient lands lasted nearly three centuries. Forward to more modern times — we have JD Vance.

You’ve no idea how much Vance reminds me of some of the ancient Sovereigns. Vance seems to have, more than most Republicans, an unquenchable thirst — thirst for power. He has worked himself up ruthlessly to the office of VP, where he’s been thrust aside to do — not much of anything.

So imagine what delight our scheming VP must have felt when Elon Musk remarked that Donald Trump should be impeached and JD Vance should take his place. I imagine that was like sweet nectar to Vance’s ears. Vance is NOT Donald Trump’s friend. Vance has fallen into line for one reason and one reason only — he wants to be the next to assume the MAGA aura of arrogance, wants with all his unquenchable thirst to be the top dog.

So Vance did come out with a statement. In this statement, he said he stands with Trump. This appeared to surprise many media pundits. I was watching and saw many started expressions, I do not get why anyone would be surprised. What was Vance supposed to say, “Yahoo, let’s impeach!!”

Of course not! Vance did exactly what this writer thought he’d do. But if I were Donald Trump (and thank goodness I’m not), I might employ a professional food taster. I am kidding about that, of course, but Vance is one of those guys who, back in old times, would have been the charlatan courtier, spying for one, spying for another, betraying all, doing anything that could quench his thirst for power.

He is a proper credit to the Ptolemy dynasty in that regard. After all, it’s not every day a guy who calls their boss “Hitler” and the “needle in the collective vein of America” gets promoted. But Vance needs to watch it. Why? Because Vance, in addition to being greedy and thirsty, is not that bright. He always screws things up for himself, always. So it stands to reason that he will do precisely that this time as well.
