Although the past few days of the political landscape have been absolutely unprecedented, I’ve kept getting the feeling that it was all very familiar, as if I’d seen this before. Then it finally hit me.

I’m a lifelong Miami Dolphins fan. Years ago I went to a Dolphins game where we kept sacking the other team’s quarterback, who was good but very old. I remember thinking to myself “don’t knock him out of the game” because his backup was a highly talented young guy named Michael Vick who was just waiting his turn. Sure enough, the Dolphins knocked the old guy out of the game, and Vick came in and just torched the Dolphins from there.

The powers that be who knocked President Biden out of this race have made a mistake. All they’ve done is elevate someone on Biden’s team who can come out swinging harder. Kamala Harris is going to win this race. And Biden is going to get his own monument.
