This past week the January 6th Committee targeted Ivanka Trump as a material witness to her father Donald Trump’s insurrection-related and election fraud-related crimes. The Attorney General of New York made a civil court filing accusing Ivanka Trump of having played a role in her father’s falsification of asset values for loan, insurance, and tax purposes. Since those would be felonies, an thed New York Attorney General is also jointly running a related criminal probe, Ivanka now has to worry about being criminally indicted on top of everything else.

It turns out Ivanka isn’t particularly happy about her situation. She’s now “annoyed” and “frustrated” at having been dragged into Donald Trump investigation after Donald Trump investigation, according to someone close to her who spoke with the Daily Beast. Ivanka believes she’s being “hassled” by all these investigations.

What’s stunning is that Ivanka Trump would have someone close to her put this narrative out into the media. She feels hassled by these investigations? One of them is accusing her of being a material witness to her father’s treasonous crimes, and the other is accusing her of having helped her father commit financial crimes.

If Ivanka’s approach to these probes is to feign annoyance, as if they were merely a series of mosquito bites that’ll go away, then she’s not taking this nearly seriously enough. One of these probes could send her to prison for contempt of Congress, and the other could send her to prison for financial fraud.
