It’s official: JD Vance is the “least liked” running mate in forever
Donald Trump’s running mate JD Vance has done very poorly out of the gate, igniting one bizarre controversy after another. He’s incoherently compared racism to Diet Mountain Dew. He’s been caught hating on “childless cat ladies” and keeps doubling down on it. Vance is now the stuff of infinite memes, and none of them good.
Sometimes these kinds of things only exist within a certain bubble and don’t reflect the overall sentiment. But in this case the dislike of JD Vance does indeed run far and wide. The numbers say that Vance is the “least liked” non-incumbent running mate to come out of a convention in a whopping 44 years. Given that Vance is only 39 years old, that makes him the least-liked in his own lifetime.
This comes even as excited interest grows with regard to Kamala Harris’ upcoming running mate announcement. There are several popular names being kicked around in the media, and the announcement could reportedly come within a week. Meanwhile the only discussion around the JD Vance pick is whether Trump can or will try to replace him.
