It’s midnight in America

Today is set to go down as one of the darkest days in American history. I don’t have to explain why. You and I know the answer. What’s bizarre is just how many Americans don’t know what this day means for them, and won’t figure it out until later. It’s midnight in America. The sun won’t come up until later. And most people aren’t going to like what they see once it does.
Then again, the numbers say that only four in ten Americans now approve of Donald Trump, and only two in ten Americans now think he’ll be able to bring food prices down, so why exactly did they sit back and let this monstrosity win the election? The only silver lining is that the people in the middle seem to be already regretting it a little bit, which gives us something to work with right out of the gate. But what kind of gate even is this? It feels like we’re going through the gate to Hell today.
So here’s my suggestion. Watch the inauguration today or don’t watch, that’s up to you. Don’t feel any pressure to tune in and watch this farce if you don’t feel like it. Don’t watch the news today if you don’t want to. Why do that to yourself?
But either way, you’re going to hear all about the inauguration second hand. Let that motivate you going forward. Let it serve as fuel to light a proverbial fire under you to come out fighting against Trump and everything he wants to do. If you’re still reading Palmer Report, it’s because you’re still in the fight. And I’m right here with you. So let’s each get through today by whatever means necessary, and then get ready to come out fighting. It’s not a fight we wanted, but we’re going to do everything we can to win this fight on as many fronts as possible, survive as a nation, and rebuild what’s important.
Accordingly, Palmer Report is expanding. We're bulking up our editorial and research staff and leaving no stone unturned on the editorial front and activism front. I'm asking you to help me build Palmer Report into what it needs to be. We're now 43% of the way to our funding goal. Please click here to donate whatever you can to this effort. Our future and our way of life depend on it.
