It’s about time
It is almost time. It’s almost time for the lights to dim — for the popcorn to be collected — for the show to start. The previews are going on as we speak. And now it is only two short days away — the start of the January 6 hearings.
So as we approach the start of the show, here are a few things to keep in mind. First — the first hearing is Thursday night, June 9, at 8:00 PM. It will be featured on every major network except Trump-TV (Fox News). Some places where you can watch it include: NBC, ABC, CBS. MSNBC, CNN.
It is also important not to get distracted by the chatter of some media pundits after. What do I mean by that? This is a story about evil. That — and only that — should be the talking point. But we know some pundits will try to “both sides” this.
The media loves to play mind games. So it stands to reason that many of them will do so during the hearings. Not all of them. But it’s important we set the narrative. The last thing we need is fake hand-wringing and dishonest headlines. Many pundits will attempt to steal our joy. They will do this in several different ways.
One way is to somehow make it seem like Democrats let us down. Were democrats too aggressive? Were they not aggressive enough? Does anybody really care? Since Fox didn’t air it, does that mean all the moderates tuned out? (Most moderates do not watch fox.)
It will be one long giant piping hot shiny red alert. This is because they do not want to look too partisan. And because they want people tuning in.
But you can always trust Palmer Report to give you the real deal. That is what we always do and that’s what we will be doing on Thursday. So let the show begin! And do not be distracted. Sit back and watch carefully what evil looks like.
Watch the truth being slowly rolled out, like Cleopatra’s red carpet; it will happen slowly, precisely, and expertly. Undoubtedly, the GOP will howl. They will wail and complain and rage. Ignore them. It won’t matter. Because the show we are about to watch will always go on.
