House Republicans cut and run

Perhaps youโ€™ve seen the new excuses Republicans are starting to give for why they are facing raging voters at enraged town halls. Mike Johnson made a fool of himself by pretending that the people at his town halls are paid Democrats. It was hysterical to watch as even Kaitlan Collins, a pretty professional journalist, seemed to be really struggling to hold back guffaws. Johnson came off as a desperate little Trump sycophant. Perhaps he is not ready to admit what the world knows.

Republicans have dipped their hands in the cookie jar and made a mess of everything. However, I must tell you, my friends, itโ€™s not just Johnson. Other Republicans are starting to do this, too, and frankly, I love it. I must say I donโ€™t love it for the Maga voters who are getting quite a reckoning right now. But it is unintentionally hilarious to see Republicans in such a resounding denial.

Itโ€™s also a great way for THEM to avoid future town halls and take responsibility for anything. After all, if they lie a lot and pretend itโ€™s Democrats at the town Hall, they never have to go to another town hall again! Case closed. Maybe not. Actual stories are starting to come out, drift out with some Republican voters even using their own names about how they were let go after years, sometimes decades, at their jobs, so how are Republicans going to explain these people away?

Itโ€™s the deep state! They may say that, or maybe theyโ€™ll say these arenโ€™t really Trump voters, and Antifa are behind it! You never know with Republicans what lame excuse they will use because most of them are blindingly stupid, and none more than Mike Johnson.

Iโ€™m telling you, watching that interview where Collins basically gutted him was like drinking a long, slow glass of Pinot Noir, It was a leisurely experience, watching Johnsonโ€™s first flush of stupidity. It hit slowly, and then, as he kept talking, the red flash of utter and complete foolhardiness, surrounded the television screen, giving out a rather nice mellow buzz of pure Theatre.

So are Republicans really, really, really going to stop showing up at town halls? That does seem to be the plan. Rolling Stone even had an article about it. Can one imagine? Republican cowardice will be seen in new, unimproved ways, as the party continues avoiding their own voters.
