Here we go again

Talk about “biting the hand that feeds you,” but we all knew pardoning the January 6 insurrectionists was a bad idea. Had Enrique Tarrio and his cohorts remained in jail, they wouldn’t have been out filing lawsuits against the very administration that wrongfully cut them loose. Thanks, Donald Trump, for once again being the worst president in our nation’s history, not to mention the most shameful. At the same time, this is exactly what Donald Trump, Pam Bondi, and the rest of the weaponized DOJ deserve. They have done nothing but wreak havoc.
After the Trump administration finally returned Kilmar Abrego Garcia to the U.S. after unlawfully deporting him, they charged him with federal crimes. This reeks of some twisted type of revenge. When the Trump administration illegally deported Garcia, they accused him (with no proof) of being a member of the MS-13 gang. Now, he is being charged with human smuggling. What will they come up with next? This is obviously just another ploy to punish this young man for being in the country, though he behaved lawfully and contributed to his local economy by holding a job. It is very easy to believe Garcia, his wife, and his lawyer that these are trumped up charges because of the evil nature of the current administration, which will do whatever it has to do to prove it is right even when it is very wrong.
The Trump administration has been dishonest, has actively tried to suppress free speech, and has deported immigrants without due process. They have not done enough in their quest to turn the U.S. into a fascist country, so Trump deployed the National Guard on protestors in Los Angeles. Peaceful protests are the backbone of this country. Peaceful protest gave women the right to vote, and it gave the right to vote to Blacks. It has been a successful tool in a free country. Trump, however, does not want us in a free country, and Republicans overall are complicit.
Unleashing the military on private citizens is despicable. BBC News has been following the protests and spoke with one of the activists, Kuali Linda Aleman. She described to BBC the scene, which she said included helicopters and “hundreds of police on the ground.” Aleman said: “We did not provoke anything. They were continually spraying us with tear gas, but we were able to wash our faces and get on with it.” This brutality will not deter Aleman; she planned to return to City Hall the following day. She told BBC: “Even though Trump is making these threats, we won’t back down.”
Protest, refuse, do everything within your power to resist this fascist regime. California governor Gavin Newsome had the right idea when he responded to Trump’s threat to pull back federal spending in California, Newsome said: “California pays over $80 billion more in taxes than we get back. Maybe it’s time to cut that off.” Do it. Do whatever it takes to get their attention and stop the ongoing terror being perpetrated against the citizens of this country.
