Here comes the poison pill

Reports indicate that the big, beautiful bill has turned into the GOP poison pill as it falls apart in real time. The Senate is squabbling like a bunch of angry bees, as everyone seems to want something different, and Punchbowl News reports that many things would need to happen for the bill to pass. However, as of right now, they’re simply not happening.
One thing is cuts to Medicare. At least three Republican Senators have said there is no way they would be for that. Others are alarmed by the cutting of the Inflation Reduction Act, which would slash services such as funding for rural broadband.
(Side note: Only Republicans are stupid enough to want to cut services for RED STATES — for their own voters, but what can I say? Mandatory IQ tests when entering the Senate are not a thing.) In the meantime, cries of indignation are coming from the losers in the House, all of whom are Republicans who say they will reject the bill if the Senate makes too many changes.
It’s being reported that at least 16 Senators are now “sweating” over this bill. Happy sweet 16. This is a reality TV show, and it’s a blast to watch. I never thought in a million years I’d say this, but it does appear the GOP SENATE is even more incompetent than the House, and that’s saying something.
When one is in a situation like this — where all the different political factions are squabbling like a bunch of bratty infants– things usually have a habit of going from bad to worse.
It certainly doesn’t help that these people have no communication skills whatsoever. Their ways of communicating are to go on rival networks, lie, lie some more, and then suck to Donald J Trump, That is neither a good strategy nor an effective one, but it is, for now, all the GOP has — a lousy bill with no agreement on anything in it, and a whole heck of a lot of fighting.
