Here comes the blowback against Donald Trump and Elon Musk
One of the greatest days of this writer’s life was when I witnessed the sun go down over the Grand Canyon — and come up the next morning. The Grand Canyon is a visual wonder. So are many other parks. And park workers are pissed. They are being fired right and left. So that might be why protests are starting to pop up everywhere. And I DO mean everywhere, including red states. I mean, this is Republicans’ worst nightmare. Will they try to blame it all on Democrats again?
Musk is also being protested, at times, at offices he owns. Many people are comically dressing up as Musk. At a recent protest in California, one of the protesters dressed up as Elon Musk and held a sign proclaiming himself Donald Trump’s Daddio.
But there are so many protests going on, I could write pages and pages about them. They’re happening all over the place. Since President Musk is all but letting the whole federal workforce go, there have been vigorous protests of fired workers and it’s not just people in DC.
I want to clarify that. It is ALL OVER. Meteorologists who predict the weather are being fired, and park workers are being fired. One Park announced they were going to be closed over the summer because they don’t have enough workers to keep the park open. Of course, what Donald Trump is doing is terrible, but some people, rather than cursing the darkness are lighting candles, and choosing to protest.
