Guess who’s not coming to dinner?
JD Vance isn’t doing so well. Besides becoming one of the most despised men in the United States, it seems Canada has also caught the “we despise Vance” virus. As you know, we’re pretty much persona non grata in Canada these days. It’s no wonder, as Donald Trump has not stopped making threats against our friends up north.
That is why Jamil Jivani spoke out. The conservative MP was friendly with our VP, as the two met at Yale Law School. He also has a message for the VP. Just. Don’t. visit us. Ouch! It’s true. Jivani has rebuffed Vance, saying a visit from our friendless VP would not be “constructive.”
“Right now we have strong political disagreements, and that’s kind of how it is.” Jivani says the United States needs to “reconsider some of its rhetoric” and policies before being welcomed by Canada. This is certainly different. After all, it is not every day the VP gets an invitation REVOKED.
Who can blame them? Would you want to host JD Vance for dinner? That is a rhetorical question because we all know the answer is: “HECK NO!” Canada is coming to despise us—or maybe not so much “us” as Donald John Trump. Trump and people of his ilk, including Mr. Vance, are not welcome there, and they’d better get used to it. This is their new reality, and if they do not like it, they should stop bullying, disrespecting, and threatening our lovely friends and neighbors.
Jivani also admitted he and Vance have not spoken in an “awhile.” He also said how Vance and Trump have spoken about Canada “is a problem for me.” The Canadians are a proud people. They are also fearless, and to put it bluntly, they don’t take crap from a moronic orange leech whom, I am certain few in Canada have an n iota of respect for.
So I support Jivani in this, as I have and do support Canada. Who would WANT either Vance or Trump’s mucky boots on their lands? It should be evident to Vance that his alliance with Donald Trump has destroyed any iota of respect from other countries, and if he can’t even gain back the respect of a FRIEND, that says a lot about him, don’t you agree?
