Good news is always welcome news. As you know, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has seemingly decided to make taking away the dignity of children his central campaign issue. And one of the ways he’s been doing this is to target transgender children.

A man defined by his cruelty, Abbott has tried to launch investigations into parents of trans children, making the love and acceptance from their devoted parents, a thing to sneer at. But this week, a Judge denied Abbott the right to investigate gender-affirming care.

An injunction was issued, preventing Abbott and his vile conspirators from moving forward with any investigations. The American Civil Liberties Union, acting as an advocate for one of the kids in question, had sued. This injunction is temporary as there is to be a trial, starting in July. Hundreds, if not thousands of people on social media, celebrated the injunction. “Eat shit, Abbott,” said one Twitter user, pretty much summing up the mood.

In her decision to issue this injunction, Judge Amy Clark Meachum noted this order by Psychopath Abbott was “unconstitutional.” It IS unconstitutional, and this is a definite victory for Trans kids.

But the danger isn’t over yet for Texas. The Lone Star state has been sucked into a dark cloud of discontent since Abbott’s been Governor. He’s attacked everything from a woman’s right to choose to transgender children to books. He is a constant menace who puts the bright future of the state in jeopardy.

Beto has succeeded in gaining ground in the Texas Governor’s race, but we’re only at the beginning now. Please make any Texans you might know aware of just how dastardly their Governor is. We need to fight back on this one and fight back hard.
