Good news and bad news
Well, I’ve got some good news and bad news for the 85 million Americans who rely on Medicaid and the 43 million Americans who rely on food stamps. First the bad news. The House of Representatives MAGA slaves for Donald Trump just cut 880 billion dollars from the Energy and Commerce Committee over ten years, which is where Medicaid is funded. Then they cut 230 billion dollars from the Agriculture Committee over ten years, which is where food stamps are funded. Since money for Medicaid and food stamps come from nowhere else, those programs will suffer and people will die.
Now for the good news. All those innocent people won’t die for nothing. The cuts will be made so America’s richest millionaires and billionaires can enjoy an unprecedented 4.5 trillion (with a ‘t’) dollar tax cut. Yes, the very richest 2% of people in the United States now get to be richer still, and won’t that be a comfort to the voiceless poor who will suffer and die because of it! Finally, people who have more money than they can possibly spend in a lifetime will get even more money than they can possibly spend in a lifetime, and it’s about goddamn time!
“Born again Christian” House Speaker Mike “porn app” Johnson is delighted to report that so many people who are buried up to their eyeballs in mammon get even more mammon. Meanwhile, old people and orphans will pay for it, just like Jesus wanted in the Gospel according to St Asshole.
So every cloud really does have a silver lining full of shit. Even though Donald Trump, who ran on a promise of an instantaneous drop in the price of eggs and gas and an instantaneous end to the war in Ukraine and absolutely no cuts to Medicaid, now has the highest eggs and gas prices in history, an endless war on Ukraine beginning its fourth year and cuts to Medicaid, at least billionaires and corporations get a desperately needed tax break!
Meanwhile, according to singer Azealia Banks, Elon Musk had a botched penis extension operation. So, in order to overcompensate for his small dick energy, “Elong” (get it?) has fired 6,700 IRS employees, just in time for tax day. So now it will be much harder for the federal government to collect taxes from those lucky millionaires and billionaires who just got that magnificent tax break! Because something something waste, fraud and abuse.
This is Donald Trump’s government at work. And it’s going to get worse. Welcome to day 37 in the 1,460 day Trump nightmare.
