There’s a reason the phrase “Everything Trump Touches Dies” is so omnipresent: Trump has never met a situation that he couldn’t make worse just by being a part of it. He’s made an absolute disaster of United States immigration policy, by sending his ICE gestapo to round up random immigrants for the crime of not being white. Now he’s managed to take his own travesty and make it even worse.
Trump’s racist and un-American attacks on immigrants have naturally resulted in widespread protests in California. In response, Trump has mobilized the California National Guard (over the explicit objection of Governor Gavin Newsom) to crack down on the protesters. Trump is, of course, trying to incite violence where there is none. That’s another consistent thing about Trump: he always tries to incite violence.
But guess what, Donald? I’ve got news for you: Californians overwhelmingly stand with the immigrants and protesters, and against the Trump gestapo. Trump can kiss California’s ass and go home. I wish I had something more constructive to say about the situation, but this maniac loser is really ticking me off with this one.
The story here is that Donald Trump, as always, is the problem. He’s the reason people are taking to the streets in a show of support for immigrants to begin with. Now he’s trying to turn peaceful protest, a constitutionally guaranteed American tradition, into something far uglier. Let’s not let this piece of crap hijack the story. Remember, the narrative consists of four words: Trump is the problem.
