The Trump administration is made up of liars and thieves top to bottom. As the number of Covid-19 cases exceeds 500 in the United States, with about a 4% fatality rate, these dangerous folks in the Trump regime continue to spread misinformation while trying to somehow blame Democrats for the virus – even while trying to line their pockets at the same time.

Over the weekend, Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin claimed that Trump has had a pandemic team in place his entire time as president. However, that is not true. Trump in fact fired the pandemic team in 2018 to save costs, as Judd Legum reported in his Popular Information newsletter.

Then, Dr. Ben Carson, who heads up HUD, appeared on the Sunday morning talk show circuit and made the claim that there is nothing to fear but fear (of this administration) itself. You cannot make this stuff up.

Now, it has been reported by Amee Vanderpool that Trump has made disclosures in the past that he had an interest in the maker of the coronavirus test kits that the Center for Disease Control contracted with for such kits, with no signs of divestment. As the virus spreads to more than 100 countries around the globe, as Senator Ted Cruz announces that he is self-quarantining because of exposure to someone identified at CPAC as having tested positive for the illness, and fears are causing the market to continue its skid, with no end or cure in sight, we have Trump retweeting a meme of him playing the violin with the words, “My next piece is called … Nothing Can Stop What’s Coming.” He then added “Who knows what this means, but it sounds good to me!”

While intended to show how great Donald Trump is, it more realistically stands for one of two things in this current crisis: 1) Nero fiddling while Rome is burning, or 2) The Titanic symphony band continuing to play as the Titanic was sinking. God help us, we need leadership in this nation.
