It was a great day on Friday for the Democratic party and the rule of law! Attorney General Garland’s DOJ has indicted mutant Steve Bannon. He will be turning himself in on Monday. We will hopefully get a perp-walk. Yes, Friday was a glorious day. Not for everybody.

As Democrats like all of us celebrated harmony being brought back to the Justice Department, a certain Senator was appearing to lose his mind. This Senator boldly and righteously brings the letter “s” to stupid. He is a Senator who really should not even BE in the Senate because he’s an idiot. But in the Senate, he is, and apparently, the fact that Garland is bringing back the rule of law upset him greatly. Oh — this Senator’s last name rhymes with “rotten.”

If you guessed Tom Cotton, congratulations!

So, Garland appears to be living rent-free in Cotton’s head. Because as most of the country was tweeting thanks to Garland, a dour Cotton tweeted this beauty: “Merrick Garland should resign in disgrace. And thank God he’s not on the Supreme Court.”

Yes, folks, a sitting Senator tweeted this word salad. And of course, Cotton being Cotton, he got ratioed. Here are some of the funnier responses:

“Why, kitten?”

“To close for comfort?”

“We’re so happy that You can’t corrupt garland.”

“Sit down, son.”

“When it’s your turn, just ask that Bannon be your cellmate.”

“Would you please stop embarrassing the south?”

“Can you teleport to another planet and stay there?”

“How’s your pal, Mark Meadows?”

“What are you, five?”

“Get a job.”

“Cotton comes out against law and order.”

So, as you can see, people were not exactly sympathetic to Cotton’s (cause?) Maybe he should sit this one out.
