Even for Rand Paul, this is utterly deranged

It is often said that people with malignant narcissism gravitate toward careers that put them in the spotlight. This makes sense. Narcissistic people want to be seen and heard. They want the spotlight always on them. So it stands to reason that many of them are drawn to such careers as entertainment, sports — and politics. I’d venture to guess DC is populated with narcissistic politicians.

Narcissus, from whom the word “narcissist” derives, spent his life staring into a pool of water at his reflection. And these politicians are not so different. And there is one possible narcissist getting attention all right — for all the wrong reasons. That would be Kentucky Senator Rand Paul.

Again — I am no psychologist, but I would guess if Paul were ever tested, he’d score high on the narcissist test. The man can’t resist taking every disgusting stance imaginable, either for attention or out of pure spite.

On the floor of the Senate, Paul announced he opposes the PACT Act that would open up health care for so many Veterans and likely save many lives. The reason he opposes it? He doesn’t think Vets can PROVE they got health issues from serving in combat. You heard me.

Paul gave a speech that was blood-curtailing. In this speech, he argued that MANY people have what he deemed “common ailments like hypertension and asthma.” Paul argued that one hundred sixteen million people have hypertension, adding that there was a “presumption of service” going on.

So many people have asthma, Paul mused. These ailments are so common. He also declared this bill would put our economy at risk. Words cannot describe how much I loathe Rand Paul — or may I please refer to him as Rand Small?

For he is small. His capacity for empathy is MORE than small. It is non-existent. The level of cruelty this “person” displayed with these words is something to marvel at.

I wish I could say we can beat Paul and vote him out. You know how difficult that would be. Kentucky is as red as they come. Perhaps things will change, but until they do, we’re stuck with him. But if we continue to win, we can keep this narcissistic, inhumane piece of slime in the background where he belongs. Rand Small doesn’t deserve a seat at the table. He deserves only our scorn.
