Just how much of a disaster have Donald Trump’s daily coronavirus press briefings been for America? People have died after trying to self-medicate based on the faulty advice he’s handed out. Just how much of a disaster have Trump’s briefings been for him? CNN and MSNBC now routinely cut away from large chunks of them, in order to correct Trump’s false information, making him look like an idiot.

Palmer Report noted earlier today that even though Donald Trump is holding these televised campaign rallies for two hours each day, the latest polling averages say that he’s just as far behind Joe Biden as ever. The exposure isn’t helping Trump at all. Now some of his own advisers have decided that Trump is in fact harming his own chances by going out there and making a fool of himself each day.

Not only are certain Trump “advisers and Republican allies” privately telling Donald Trump to pull the plug on this nonsense, at least one of them has leaked to the New York Times that they’re telling Trump to pull the plug. Developments like this don’t leak to the media by accident, unless someone involved wants it to be a media story.

This is pretty serious, because it means Trump’s own people are so intent on trying to get him to stop doing the briefings, they’re willing to publicly humiliate him a bit by leaking to the media that they think Trump’s briefings are a disaster. It’s anyone’s guess whether Trump will heed the advice, as he becomes more desperate, deranged, and cognitively compromised. But his own people sure are worried about the damage he’s doing to himself these days.
