Eric Adams is finished
Eric Adams is like a wad of gum sticking to the bottom of New Yorkers’ shoes. Adams will not stop talking no matter how sick and tired New Yorkers — and ALL of us — are of hearing him. The latest whine from the soon-to-be-ex Mayor is that the Democratic party has left him. Aw — poor baby!
Adams is dutifully copying Donald Trump, hoping his “poor me” act will work. It will not. Democracy for America has a new poll out showing imminent DOOM for the incorrigible Adams. The poll asked voters to pick a favorite candidate! So they did.
Voters picked many contenders. But Adams was shockingly only chosen by six percent of the poll participants! SIX PERCENT! What a mess for New York’s moron of a Mayor. I mean — it just doesn’t get any worse than that, DOES it now? You know, one reason why Adams cannot shake the dislike is because of memory.
Memory is like high tide. When a politician, for example, does something terrible, the MEMORY of that bad deed is loud — it crashes against peoples’ minds just like Donald Trump’s impeachments did at first.
But then low tide comes in. As time goes on, people’s memories grow dimmer, and outrage gives way to sputters of annoyance. We’ve seen it. Unfortunately, it is one of the reasons Turmp won. High tide was not crashing during the 2024 election, sad as it is.
But it IS present around Adams because Adams is still in office and won’t stop talking, and the more he talks, the worse he looks, and THAT, my friends, is making people very uncomfortable. So of course memories of Adams are fresh in the voters’ minds AND with Adams busily adding fuel to the fire, the angry voters have turned on him bigly.
