Elon Musk just stepped in it
Elon Musk keeps running around and firing as many federal government employees as he can find, and he seems to think it’s all a game. He ousted the FAA chair and then airplanes started falling out of the sky. He “accidentally” fired the people in charge of preventing an ebola outbreak, and he seemed to think it was hilarious. Musk is, in a word, incompetent. He’s an inept stooge who behaves like he’s jacked up on laughing gas. Now he’s gone and reached a new low.
Yesterday, Musk and his henchmen decided to hire back 180 employees that they had laid off from the Centers for Disease Control two weeks ago. It’s difficult to even put into words how stupid this is. If Musk is that unable to figure out which jobs are essential, why is he in such a rush to fire everyone? If he did make a mistake, why did it take him a full two weeks for him to fix it? And why is he giving these people their jobs back by sending them an email? Who keeps checking their work email two weeks after they were laid off? Also, some of these people have probably moved on to new jobs by now, and won’t come back – even though Musk now understands that they’re essential.
This is all just such an amateur hour dumpster fire. Musk is gleefully racing around trying to indiscriminately fire people as quickly as he can, without a clue who he’s firing, and without any understanding of the seriousness of what he’s doing. At this point it’s fair to say that Elon Musk is as mentally incompetent as Donald Trump.
