The Orange Fornicating Felon (OFF) has decided to throw a bone to his main benefactor Qelon Musk. Mainly by stating that he wanted to put people on Mars during his presidency. I think OFF is getting ideas of annexing Mars and other celestial bodies during his upcoming maladministration to satisfy his and Musk’s desires to dominate and control.

There are several issues with OFF and Musk making their mutual wet dream come true. First, the Outer Space Treaty has some things to say about this. Namely that the moon, Mars, and other celestial bodies aren’t there to be claimed by the United States or other countries. A treaty that the United States is a party to along with most of the rest of Earth.

Then there are the technical difficulties with putting people on Mars. Not only in just getting there, but Mars is not habitable at our current level of technology. In addition to the radiation levels being much higher, the soil on Mars itself is toxic. I don’t see either Qelon or OFF being able to overcome any of these challenges during his second maladministration.
