DOWN DOWN DOWN

As the Trump administration progresses, with horribly unpopular policies that will benefit absolutely no one outside of Republican megadonors, we’re seeing Donald Trump’s support erode at a time when it’s fairly common for the president to get the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, Donald Trump has spent much of his political capital already, which makes his awful agenda much harder to pull off. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that his approval ratings could sink much lower when he doesn’t fulfill MAGA’s worst wishes.
Now, we’re seeing things fall apart where he made inroads back in November – doing poorly with independents – a 14 point approval drop since February – but also Latino voters who were pivotal to him winning, with a four point drop in support. This is only one survey from a Democratic leaning firm, but it’s consistent with polling from the last month, showing that this is a demographic that is still persuadable and quickly losing their faith in Donald Trump when it comes to the economy, with more than half saying things are getting worse.
Trump’s tariffs, and an overall reckless immigration policy, are taking their toll on voters – and it’s time to hammer the message: Trump’s economy is getting worse, and immigration is more chaotic than ever. Worse yet, his own party won’t stand up to him and stop this chaos. Make them own it – because they do. This is how we win in 2025 and 2026.
