Don’t count on it…

Will Donald Trump ever admit to the mistakes he has made? Don’t count on it. He simply carries on and makes even more mistakes. Some people bought into Trump’s rhetoric about helping the economy to grow, but if anything, he has caused it to stall out. Clearly, Trump’s tariffs idea is tanking. He continues to claim that we must go through a “little pain” to realize Trump’s “big picture.” During his interview with Kristen Welker, Trump said, for example, that American children do not need as many toys as they have. “I’m saying that they don’t need to have 30 dolls. They can have three. They don’t need 250 pencils. They can have five.” How many dolls and pencils did his children have? Americans want the same for their children. Trump is, at least now, acknowledging that his policies aren’t good by saying that “his economic policy is what voters signed up for.” That’s because they listened to him instead of doing their research. The man lies incessantly. Why in the world people believe in him is unfathomable.

To make matters worse, Trump went out of his way to appoint numerous people to his cabinet who are woefully incompetent. That’s why Mitch McConnell refused to vote to confirm Pete Hegseth, and so far, Hegseth has proven McConnell right. His use of personal devices to conduct official business was bad enough, but now, according to Reuters, Hegseth has cost the administration $2.2 million. How did he do this, you ask? Well, he’s an idiot for one, which leads to his error. Eleven flights filled with heavy artillery were ordered to Ukraine. For some unknown reason, Hegseth cancelled the flights, and no one in national security knew why. This administration is like a Three Stooges movie, where pandemonium and confusion reign supreme. The official report from the White House is that Trump directed Hegseth to pause aid, but that doesn’t seem to be true (shocker).

The order was issued at the beginning of Trump’s term, which means it was already planned. Just think how many people this stupidity impacted: Ukrainian officials and officials in Poland, who coordinated the shipments. No one could tell anyone why the flights were halted and by whom (or just didn’t want to tell). Thankfully, after all this unnecessary confusion, the flights took off. Now, what or whom would you guess caused this comedy of errors? According to Reuters, the order originated from the office of Pete Hegseth, one of the most incompetent cabinet member ever. Reuters secured records from TRANSCOM (U.S. Transportation Command) that stopping aid was discussed in one of Trump’s first cabinet meetings, but no official directive was given to stop these flights.

Liar in Chief Karoline Leavitt tried to whitewash everything by saying: “Negotiating an end to the Russian-Ukraine War has been a complex and fluid situation. We are not going to detail every conversation among top administration officials throughout the process.” In the end, Leavitt claimed that “the war is much closer to an end today than it was when President Trump took office.” Nice try, but everyone is aware of the stark incompetence of Trump, his cabinet, and his lying press secretary.
