Donald Trump’s scam unravels

It’s official. Donald Trump thinks he’s a king. Several of his executive orders appear to run afoul of the law, not to mention the Constitution. Trump’s attempts to end birthright citizenship is a direct violation of the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution, which states: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” Trump cannot rewrite the Constitution, no matter what he thinks. Only Congress can amend the Constitution. Even then, they can only make proposals, and that requires two thirds of both Houses. Last week, two federal judges blocked Trump’s efforts to end birthright citizenship. The latest to block Trump was Judge John C. Coughenour of Seattle (Reagan), who called Trump’s move “an attempt to ignore the Constitution for political gain.” The other judge, Deborah Boardman of Maryland (Biden), has placed a long-term hold on Trump’s move. A total of 22 states have banned together to stop Trump’s unlawful action. Trump’s intent is to harm as many people as possible.
Trump has now ordered the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to stop most of its work. He has shut down an agency created following the 2008 financial crisis and a mortgage-lending scandal. The Associated Press confirmed Saturday night that the agency had been ordered to stop working on proposed rules, to suspend the effective dates on rules that had been approved but were not in effect, and to stop all investigative work. This gives unscrupulous mortgage lenders the ability to, once again, take advantage of consumers. According to the AP, Republicans have been trying to close the door on this agency since 2010. The problem for them and Trump is that Congress created the agency, and only Congress can eliminate it. Elon Musk wholeheartedly agrees with this move, and Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) believes Musk wants to close the bureau to line his already filled pockets. According to Markey, apps such as X can offer services like a bank, but those companies “don’t follow financial laws that keep people’s money safe.” Markey calls it a clear conflict of interest, but it seems that much of what Musk is doing is a conflict of interest. Elizabeth Warren, who is credited with bringing that agency to life, said: “Vought is giving big banks and giant corporations the green light to scam families.” Trump is creating harm, and Elon Musk is his henchman.
DOGE is not even a real agency of the U.S. government, and Musk wasn’t elected to the government. This insanity must stop. Musk has already been halted from accessing people’s private, sensitive information. Both Trump and Musk are little more than shysters. They both want things from the government to which they are not entitled. Trump wants to destroy the U.S. government from the inside out, and Musk-who has already partnered with Visa-wants to launch an internet-based bank. Trump never wanted to run the government; he wants to destroy it, and the people who voted for him have put him in a position to do just that.
