Donald Trump just lost again
The Judge has spoken! Yet another Judge has rebuked Donald Trump. This is becoming a daily thing. In Texas, a Judge — a Trump-appointed Judge no less — ruled that Mr. Bigot cannot invoke the Alien Enemies Act to deport people. The same Judge blocked Trump from deporting some more people. In his ruling, this judge explained that what Trump did was illegal and unlawful.
“A significant blow to Trump.” That is what many are saying. Trump had relied on this even though it is NOT lawful, just as the judge said, The Alien Enemies Act was not meant to be used like this. Of course, what Trump’s been doing is obscene and wicked. We’re not at war with anyone
The judge wrote that Trump does NOT “possess the lawful authority under the AEA (Alien Enemies Act)” to stop, detain and transfer Venezuelans and deport them. This case has been tossed around from court to court until now. This is the first time that a permanent decision has been made on this issue.
Of course, Trump’s appeal will likely go to the extremes. And no, were I a betting person, I’d not bet on the extremes going along with him on this. This is just my opinion. Stealing people in the dead of night is the stuff of dystopian novels, a ghastly and malevolent world, where fear is one’s shadow and danger waits around the corner for everyone. Donald Trump’s spirit, animal is the predatory cruelty of the most cowardly of hunters. Luckily for us, Trump is ALSO quite stupid, so this is a significant win for us, as well as for democracy.
