Donald Trump just lost

Donald Trump cannot end birthright citizenship. He may want to. He may yearn, with all his racist might, but he cannot do it because the courts have already started to move against him. A federal judge out of Seattle Washington has temporally blocked Trump’s absurd executive order, trying to end Birthright Citizenship. The Judge deemed it “blatantly unconstitutional.”
It IS blatantly unconstitutional. Even on Fox News, a pundit or two were forced to agree. The bottom line is this is nothing but a whisper of a racist fantasy for Donald Trump. He canโt do it. He cannot end birthright citizenship.
These people are our own. They are with us. They are ours, as we are theirs, and they are loved. Racism runs in the Trump household. If you recall, Trumpโs father was well known for not wanting to rent to blacks and other minorities.
I think America is a color wheel, a bright color wheel, of gorgeous blacks, glowing browns, soft ivory, sparking golds. One cannot wish color away simply because one is afraid of it. One cannot take the rights of citizens with a savage snapping of fingers simply because one fears those citizens and their freedoms.
You canโt just overturn the constitutional amendment as this federal judge, who knows more about this subject than Donald Trump ever could hope to know, said firmly. This is a temporary restraining order as the legal fight plays out.
But millions are saying it: Donald Trump can’t end Birthright Citizenship. He can try and try to do his worst but — for the thin-skinned small minded racist that he is, I think he will fail.
