Donald Trump just got swindled again
Donald Trump is a notorious con artist and ripoff artist. He lies. He cheats. He doesn’t pay his bills. He’s a convicted felon because of how fraudulently he ran his business empire. But Trump is also something else: a sucker. Trump has always excelled at ripping off the little guy. But any time he does business with someone who plays on a serious level, Trump ends up getting hoodwinked. Now it’s happened again.
This week Trump proudly announced that Saudi Arabia and Qatar were making massive multibillion dollar investments in the United States. Lord knows what Trump gave up in order to make these investments happen, given that he’s the world’s worst negotiator. But now it turns out that whatever Trump gave up, he got nothing in return.
The Washington Post is now reporting that these investments from Saudi Arabia and Qatar happened years ago. That’s right, these nations managed to hoodwink Trump into cutting a deal that involved investments they’d already made.
This is just plain embarrassing for the United States in general and for Donald Trump in particular – not that he’s capable of realizing just how gullible he is when it comes to dealing with actual grownups. We keep watching Trump get hoodwinked by Russia, and now it turns out he’s getting swindled by the Middle East as well.
